FC Barcelona becomes the top scoring team of La Liga in past 57 years

Finally, FC Barcelona beats Real Madrid in the notable standings with 6151 goals in the Spanish top flight. 

Real Madrid had 1930 goals in the year of 1962, was just behind the FC Barcelona having 1932 goals standing at the top. But this movement of happiness of being top scorer remained for a short period of time for FC Barcelona. After the one week, Los Blancos beat Barça, led by Ladislau Kubala. And that game changed the scoreboard, Real Madrid became top of the chart and maintained it for almost 57 years.

The long-run for FC Barcelona ended in Feb 2020 when the scoreboard showed Barcelona: 6151 to Madrid: 6150.  The 5 goals slashed by Quique Setién's men against Eibar allowed the balance to be overturned six decades later. 

Starting from 1929, Barça and Madrid have been competing for leadership of top scorer. It was 1990 When Real Madrid, who had been ahead of the Blaugrana for a long time, reached their maximum gain, coinciding with the end of the 'Quinta del Buitre' era. At that point, they had scored 139 more goals than Barça. But since then, cheers to Johan Cruyff's Dream Team and the last glorious Barça decade with Leo Messi at the staring, Barça have turned things around. As soon as the FC Barcelona became the most played team in the Dream League Soccer 2020, the Barcelona DLS 20 Kits became the most used kit in the same game.

However, the distance was still huge enough until 2016, when Los Blancos were having a lead of 69 goals from Barçelona. That was the last whopping difference of the past five years, as the trend since then has clearly favored Barçelona. At the beginning of the Ernesto Valverde era, in the summer of 2017, the minus of 48 goals, while at the beginning of this season Barça was only 14 goals behind.

And finally, FC Barcelona in 2020 changed the tables and now enjoying the glory of being at the top.
